About Me

I’m Nicholas Papadopoulakis, a passionate game designer, level designer, graphic designer, and media studies graduate based in Astoria, NYC. With a strong background in game development, level design, and visual design, I thrive on creating innovative and engaging gaming experiences. I have hands-on experience in Unity, C#, and Unreal Engine, having worked on projects like Beyond the Horizon and The Cat Café.
I have also been working as a level designer and co-leader of the indie game development team Team Berries, contributing to the creation and development of Beyond the Horizon. In this role, I collaborate with team members on gameplay systems, world-building, level structure, and creative direction to help shape immersive and engaging player experiences.
Additionally, I have been developing The Wrath of Takeshi, a personal RPG project that combines compelling storytelling, immersive gameplay, and strategic mechanics inspired by classic and modern RPGs. My skills extend to graphic design, content creation, and multimedia tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Blender, and Canva.
Throughout my journey, I have collaborated with teams, contributed to game mechanics, designed immersive levels, and developed full game plots. My experience includes internships at Mokuni Games, Hunter College Film and Media, and volunteer work at the Greek Cultural Center, where I managed social media promotions and designed marketing materials.
I’m fluent in Greek and English and always eager to expand my skills in game design, programming, and digital storytelling. My goal is to continue creating impactful, accessible, and visually stunning games that leave a lasting impression.
